Saturday 31st Fresh gales at SW and SWBS accompaned by a large sea from the same qua^rter   At 1 PM Tacked and stood to the NW untill 8 then stood to the SE. At this time the Island of the Three Kings bore NWBW distant 11 Leagues and Cape Maria Van Diemen NBE. At midnight wore and stood to the NW untill 4 AM then wore and stood to the SE. At Noon our Latitude by obsern was 34°..42' So the land of Cape Maria Van Diemen bore NEBN distant about 5 Leagues
